About Coach

Chris grew up in a small town in southern Minnesota and moved to Texas in the spring of 2023 with his wife, Karli. Chris was very active and played a number of sports growing up including football, basketball, wrestling, baseball, as well as track and field. He became interested in CrossFit in 2017 after seeing a CrossFit Games documentary on Netflix. He then started doing CrossFit workouts in the basement of his house on his own and was self-taught until becoming a member of Bar10 CrossFit and taking the CrossFit L-1 Seminar in 2023. Chris graduated college from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. He worked as a nurse full-time for 3 years and learned firsthand how devastating the state of health of the average American is, which motivated him to create change. He is passionate about fixing the world’s most vexing problem, chronic disease, in the best way possible: The CrossFit Methodology. Chris became a coach because he knows he can make the biggest difference in the health and wellness of others inside a CrossFit gym, and he hopes to reach as many people as possible. When he isn’t at the gym Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, friends, and other family in the area. He is also entertained by his cat, Kitty, and dog, Rosie.
